Basic Qualifications

Education Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.

Clearance Requirements:

Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

As an Electrical Hardware Development Lead, you'll lead a cross functional team responsible for the electrical hardware design from requirements analysis through schematic capture, managing of layout constraints, supporting PWB layout, manufacturing, and integration & test. You'll work with both internal and external stakeholders and customers to develop mission critical hardware systems that meets their high expectations. You will have the opportunity to be involved in all program phases, including proposal development and business capture, hardware design, test, and production support. You will primarily support the development of airborne mission computers, but may be asked to support the development of electrical hardware for space, ground, sea, or cyber applications.

We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences: leading technical teams through electrical hardware development, high-speed circuit card design of backplanes and modules incorporating embedded processors or FPGAs, knowledge of advanced memory devices and storage protocols.

  • Expert-level understanding of hardware development processes throughout the lifecycle of the program
  • Collaborative, creative thinker, with demonstrated success leading geographically dispersed design teams through complex development efforts
  • Experience with circuit card designs, including using advanced materials, packaging techniques, and high speed interfaces
  • Working knowledge of the Siemens/Mentor Graphics Tools suite for schematic entry, layout, constraint manager, and HyperLynx SI/PI analysis
  • Exceptional communication skills with the capacity to drive innovation and secure buy-in on concepts and ideas
  • Knowledge and application of EVMS and Control Account Management practices

Target salary range: USD $149,732.00/Yr. - USD $166,000.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
